1 year of blogging! (We’re back!)
Exactly one year ago today I wrote the first blog post for PhotoSEO.info, our old domain and business name.
What did we promise a year ago?
We promised SEO tips for photographers and then gave you ideas on WordPress plugins, SEO tracking and Commentstorming. We covered site speed and SEO, making your site crawlable and fixing broken links. We did a specific post for photographers SEO on image tagging and optimizing your photos for search engines.
We also promised to keep you up to date on the SEO world. We did this when we told you about Google Social Search, reported about Google’s Image search – a good way to ensure your content has not been stolen, and broke the news about Google’s major algorithm update, Panda. We reminded you to update your All in One SEO Plugin and had a great guest blog on how search engine marketing is changing and what to expect.
We told you we’d show you how our client work was progressing and we did with three “Success” updates. Successes 1, Successes 2 and Successes 3.
What should you expect in 2012?
- A new referral program. We’re rolling this out so our most dedicated and loyal referrers are rewarded with tangible SEO benefits.
- More excellent blog content. More SEO tips, more social media focus, more frequent updates and more focus on helping our clients attain and retain their SEO results.
- Improved and extended SEO services. We have already added several requested items – monthly updates and keyword research. We will continue to add value-packed SEO services for our clients.
- Moving beyond SEO Conversion rate optimization (CRO), using social media and other search marketing tactics.
- Wait list updates. We know it’s not easy waiting your turn when you want SEO help but we will update the list as often as practical.
- Specific posts coming soon on: Ranking higher on Google Places, no-follow vs. do-follow, Success Story Updates, and much, much more!

This is a sample sale! If this were a real sale, the tone you just heard would be followed by important pricing and deadline information. This is only a test.

and much more.
What’s the best way to follow all of this?
We recommend you do two things to keep updated on SEO for your small business.
First, like our fan page. We update this frequently and sometimes add quick hints, tips or news about the site that may not be “blog worthy.” We don’t Tweet. Liking the fan page is the ONLY way to get these quick-hit updates and SEO tips.
Second, subscribe to our RSS either through the RSS button at the bottom right of this page or the email subscription link below it. Email subscribers will be added to our mailing list for any specials, discounts or sales we offer. These deals do NOT go on the blog and are ONLY available to email subscribers.
Thank you for helping High on SEO grow from a small, part-time, “for friends” business to the thriving, successful SEO company we are today. The last year has been incredible and we hope to continue growing in 2012.
